Coming up on April 27th, for one very special night only, TOSS will be meeting at another location! So pack up your dancin’ shoes and meet us at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center at 621 E. 4th Street, in beautiful downtown Tulsa. Change is never easy, so to sweeten the pot we’re bringing not one but TWO BANDS! The award-winning Little Joe Blues band will open the show, and then singer, songwriter and swing lover Johnny Boyd and his band will perform LIVE your favorite Indigo Swing songs and dance tunes from Johnny’s brand new album, Never Been Blue. It’s been 12 years since Johnny has performed Indigo Swing songs live!

As always, our intermediate lesson will start at 6:30, and our beginner lesson will start at 7:00. The festivities will begin at 7:30 and we’ll dance until 11:00!

Some might think that the holidays might close us down for a week or two, but TOSS thinks there’s no better time to dance. Bring your family and guests on down on Saturday night (the 22nd and 29th) and spend a few hours with our little dance family!

As usual, intermediate lesson is 6:30 to 7:00, beginner lesson is 7:00 to 7:30, and social dancing is from 7:30 to 10:00. No partner or experience is necessary!

The dance will be everything you come to expect from a TOSS event. This will be a completely family-friendly (all ages, no drinking, no smoking, no shenanigans!), safe, and FUN way to break in that new calendar your Aunt Shirley gave you.

The Oklahoma Swing Syndicate proudly presents its second annual Lindy Hop workshop featuring national Lindy Hop instructors. Join TOSS members and out of town guests as Maggie Martin, from Forth Worth, Texas, and Jonathan Jacobs, from Madison, Wisconsin, take us beyond the basics of Lindy Hop and Charleston in this two-day event. You’ll learn cool new Lindy and Charleston moves, and even some dips, tricks, slides and more! New to Lindy Hop? TOSS also will be offering a beginner track on Friday and Saturday!

Live Band Friday and Saturday Night

As part of the workshop, we will be hosting Branjae and the Swingsets Friday and Saturday nights. The Swingsets have performed at events like Greenwood Swingout and are notorious for their ability to get the crowd going and keep them dancing all night. The band will be playing 8:00-11:00 Friday and 9:00-midnight Saturday, with a DJ after hours for those of you who like to dance the night away!

On Sunday evening, from 6:30 – 9:30, we will be dancing with ORU Underground Swing out at Tulsa’s Riverwalk. There’s nothing like dancing on a cool evening next to a river while the sun sets – we hope you’ll join us for our workshop finale!

We recognize that many minors are introduced to TOSS through groups of friends, and a parent may not be available on a specific evening to grant consent. Unfortunately we cannot allow participation with out parent or guardian consent. Download and print the TOSS Minor Consent Form before coming to a TOSS event, and have a parent or legal guardian sign it. Only one signed form is required per participant, and it will be kept on-hand for future events.

Forms are also available at the door for a parent or legal guardian to sign (in-person) on the first evening of participation. A form picked-up from the front desk by a minor will be valid beginning the following week.

The same consent and waiver of liability is also located on our TOSS Membership Application. You might prefer to download, print, fill out and sign this form to become a TOSS member. (Membership is $12 for students.)
